11-Week Study Outline

Kirk Cousins calls us topress in. be challenged. overcome. 11-Week Study

Phase 1 – Get Real

Week 1: Get Real

The cohort of men that are gathered in this study, will do a timeline of their lives with the highs and lows – which is meant for them to reflect on themselves. If they feel comfortable, they can share with group.

Week 2: Breaking the Cycle

You're now standing at a fork in the road. One path is more of the same: coping, masking, managing. The other path leads to genuine healing. It requires surrender. Which path are you taking?

Week 3: When Your Pocket Collapses

What is sin? How do we own it? What does it mean to stop living a life of passivity.

Phase 2 – Blueprint for Success

Week 4: Scandalous Grace

What is the connection between God’s grace and our call to maturity as believers in Jesus Christ? What does costly grace mean? What does it look like to walk out forgiveness? Is forgiveness costly? What does that mean?

Week 5: Man Up and Kick In

What does it look like to be a godly man? Humility is the ultimate expression of strength and finding your identity in Christ.

Week 6: Men Under Attack

What are the identity thieves that could affect your growth as a Godly man? Examples are: passivity, shame, guilt, addiction, work, unforgiveness, work, insecurity.

Phase 3 – Equipping and Training

Week 7: How We Fight Back

God's armor and the equipment you have available to you. Community with other men on the same mission.

Phase 4 – Your Commissioning

Week 8: Trained, Equipped, Tested & Ready for Battle

How to be led by the Spirit. Triangulating God's voice, by God's Word, and close friends. Mile markers. Doesn't matter where you are, there are little jobs you can do.

Week 9: The Wilderness

A character development time in your life. You are brought to the end of yourself so that you can appreciate God's sovereignty and power. It was never about yourself. Now use the training while spiritually submitting to God. Every believer has a period in our walk where we get tested and try to figure out our calling at micro level. We listen to God and ask, “What do you want for me? What do you want me to do?” Like Job, Joseph, David, “My eyes have heard, now my eyes have seen.”

Week 10: It's Go Time

What if the very things that caused you the most pain became your platform for helping others? What if your deepest wounds, once healed, become your greatest source of strength, wisdom, and purpose, and your most powerful tool for setting other men free?

Week 11 - Commissioning

This is not the end of something. It's the beginning of everything. Practical steps forward: Sharing Testimonies, Baptism, Takeaways.
